Quiasmo, Veracruz coffee from a coffee bar in Mexico City

The coffee came from Quiasmo Coffee Bar, a coffee bar in Mexico City.

It says LAVADO three times on the front and there is a green iguana in the middle of it. Lavado is also the process.

The coffee is grown in Coatepec in Veracruz in eastern Mexico by Aurelio Ramos Cruz. It is a mix of three varieties, Typica, Bourbon and Marsellesa, grown at 1,250 meters above sea level. On the bag the notes are chocolate, nut, honey, butter and vanilla.

It is a very sweet and nutty coffee. That altitude is not very high, the cherries ripen faster down there and you get chocolate and nuts instead of sharp fruit.

It was the best coffee I had while in Mexico City.
